The board game industry, designers, artists, and publishers continue to introduce new and innovative ideas to Kickstarter. In my interview with David Sanhueza, owner of GAME-O-GAMI games and publisher of Goblin's Drool, Fairies Rule, we discuss the innovative method of creating pledge levels without locking in the details.
For those who haven't created a Kickstarter campaign (yet), when you begin your campaign you must choose your pledge levels. These pledge levels cannot be changed once someone chooses that as their pledge level.
The challenge has always been that you may need to make adjustments to the pledge level but can't because Kickstarter locks in the pledge level and the description and you can't make editing changes.
One way around this is by doing what David Sanhueza and Game Salute are doing with Goblin's Drool Fairies Rule. Instead of putting the entire pledge description on the right, they are creating a pledge level title and place holder. Then in the main page area they are putting the description of the pledge. This allows the pledges to be edited even after someone pledges. A innovative idea as long as it isn't abused.
