I stopped by the Kosmos booth at Spiel in Essen Germany last week to see about getting some questions about Setters of Catan answered. A very polite man helped me out. I then had another question, and he patiently answered my question and helped me again. I had yet a third issue come up and was beginning to feel sensitive about taking up so much time, but the gentleman was gracious and helpful and didn't make me feel like I was being overly demanding.
After finishing his help with me, he stepped away to take an inquiry by someone else, again with patience and a smile. This time the question from the person next to me was a request for him to sign the box top of a board game. I looked over the shoulder and saw the title Die Tore Der Welt. I don't speak German so I wasn't sure what it said but I recognized the box art as similar to Pillars of the Earth. I then looked at the name tag of the patient man who had been helping me without complaining and his name was Stefan Stadler, creator of Pillars of the Earth and the newly released Die Tore Der Welt - World Without End, in German.
I came back the next day and took a few minutes to interview Stefan and get his explanation of this sequel to his very successful Pillars of the Earth. Here is the Interview from Spiel in Essen Germany.
